  A member of the Black Creek community, Caesar Daniels served five enlistments totaling nearly 13½ years. He was on duty when the Scouts were disbanded in 1914, and was honorably discharged at Fort Clark. He died on June 19, 1919, and is buried in the Scouts’ cemetery in Brackettville
