We are excited about being able to gather for our 2026 Seminole Days celebration this year. One of the most important tasks that we will be performing is the election of our 2026 officers and board members. If you are interested in running for a position or if you would like to nominate someone, all the information you need to do so should be available if you click through this section. 2026 SISCA ELECTION GUIDELINES
The Board will announce the results on Saturday, September 19 at 5:00PM during our annual meeting during Seminole Days.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Descendant members who meet the following criteria are eligible to run for elected office or board of directors:
Any candidate who is written in at the last minute and wins will have to be approved by the board before taking office. In cases where they are not approved, the next qualified candidate will take the office.
Descendant members are not eligible for elected office if they have any conflict of interest, such as if they are currently a governing member or founding member in a competing organization or have been during the two years prior to the election. The Board will determine which organizations are considered competing based on an examination of their actions toward SISCA.
c. Election Time Frame
You can submit this questionnaire by email to [email protected] by 11:59 PM CST on Monday, August 24, 2026.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- A. Eligibility for Elected Office
Descendant members who meet the following criteria are eligible to run for elected office or board of directors:
- are 18 years or older
- are a fully paid member of SISCA for, at least, two consecutive years
- Be able and willing to be physically present for board meetings and annual fundraisers, esp. Fort Clark Days, Juneteenth, and Seminole Days.
- If interested in running for president or vice-president, have you demonstrated a commitment to SISCA over time by first being a board member for a full term (4 years)?

- Until 11:59 PM CST on Monday, August 24, 2026: Individuals may self-nominate or nominate others for an officer or board position by filling out this questionnaire and returning it to SISCA via email ([email protected]).
- Tuesday, August 25, 2026: Creation of Ballot/Determination of who is eligible
- Wednesday, August 26 to Saturday, August 31, 2024: Ballots will be mailed to all regular/descendant members who are eligible to vote.
- Ballots will be accepted via mail and online voting and in-person voting until 4:00PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
- Election results will be announced during the annual meeting at 5:00PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
